Does Krucial offer benefits?

Modified on Mon, Aug 1, 2022 at 3:31 PM

As a temporary employee of Krucial Rapid Response, Inc. ("Krucial"), you are eligible for limited employee benefits. To allow you enough time to review benefit plans and make your benefits decisions, we have compiled benefits information materials for you to review prior to your first day at Krucial. Included with your new hire packet sent via DocuSign is a Temporary Staff Benefits guide. This guide supplies limits of coverage for medical, dental, and vision insurance and monthly premium costs as well as insurance provider contact information if you have questions. Reading the Temporary Staff Benefits guide will help proper enrollment in your benefit plan choices, within the required timeframes. Benefits have limited timeframes in which to enroll, so it is crucial that you review these materials thoroughly to meet the time-sensitive requirements. If you have any questions about the enclosed materials, please feel free to contact the Employee Benefits Coordinator at:

TABLE OF CONTENTS

Enrolling in Benefits

Enrollment in medical, dental, and vision insurance must occur within the first 30 days of employment. There will be a task assigned to you in your Workday account where you will be asked to make your benefits elections. If you do not receive the benefits election task in your Workday account after 2 weeks of employment, please contact the Employee Benefits Coordinator at 913-318-5103 or EmployeeBenefits@krucialstaffing.com to facilitate the generation of the task so you can enroll in your chosen benefits.

Coverage Begins

Your coverage will begin on the first day of the month following your first 30-day enrollment period. Example: If you were hired on May 8th, your 30-day enrollment period would end on June 8th. The first day of the following month would be July 1st. Your coverage would begin on July 1.

401K benefits

A 401K program is available to Krucial temporary staff. The requirements of participation are as follows:

  • You must have reached the 1-year anniversary of your hire date.
  • You must have completed 1,000 hours of employment with Krucial within that year.
  • If you have not met the 1,000-hour requirement by the 1-year anniversary of your hire date, your hours will be re-evaluated on January 1st of the following year to see if you have completed 1,000 hours. If so, then you will be eligible to enroll.

Cancellation or Changes to Benefits

Canceling or making changes to your benefits after the open enrollment period requires that you must have experienced a qualifying life event such as: birth or adoption of a child, marriage or divorce, loss of coverage elsewhere, or moved out of state. There is an extensive list of qualifying life events that cannot all be listed here but you can find an exhaustive list of qualifying life events by searching online to see if your event qualifies.

If you have not had a qualifying life event, you must wait until the next open enrollment period which will be announced to all staff when the time approaches.

Termination of Benefits

When you demobilize, your benefits will be in effect until you have had two pay periods where you did not report any hours. Once you have had two consecutive zero-hour pay periods your benefits will be terminated. If you re-roster to another assignment you will have to re-enroll in benefits at that time. Your benefits do not carry over from assignment to assignment.

COBRA

If your benefits have been terminated you will receive information about the COBRA program which would give you an opportunity to continue your benefits coverage for medical, dental, and vision care. This program is not administered by Krucial but by an outside source. If you do not receive information about continuing care with COBRA by the second week after your benefits have been terminated, please reach out to the Employee Benefits Coordinator who can facilitate getting that information sent to you.

Open Enrollment

If you opt to waive employee benefits during the first 30 days of employment you will have to wait for the open enrollment period to sign up or make changes such as adding dependents, etc. However, each re-rostering to a new assignment is a new enrollment period for that assignment. If you were demobilized and your benefits were terminated, but then re-roster, you will not have to wait for the annual open enrollment period. When you re-roster you are eligible to enroll again within the first 30 days of employment.

Additional benefits

In the Temporary Staff Benefits guide, you will also find additional benefits provided by Krucial. They are:

  • Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
  • Travel Assistance Services – TravelAid
  • Reservist Rewards
